We just loved working with these two! Liz and Chris were married in early October and it was the best day. Both began their day getting ready uptown at The Westin Hotel before jumping on the trolley to head to St. Gabriel Church for the ceremony and then on to Byron’s SouthEnd for the reception. Here are a few of our favorite moments from the day:
+ Chris was a little frantic trying to get ready before cleaning up and leaving his hotel room that he almost forgot to read the letter that Liz had written for him. When he sat down you, it all started to sink in and he almost teared up reading her words to him. We would highly recommend you consider writing your person a heartfelt note to be read during the getting ready portion of the day! Not only does it make for some great photographs, it allows you to have a sweet memento to hold onto through the years of your marriage.
+ “In the words of Ice Cube…today was a good day.” This was the quote shared by one of their readers at the ceremony. It was incredible.
+ Catholic ceremonies typically take place in mid-afternoon, which allows for a good chunk of time for wedding party and bride + groom portraits after it has concluded and before the wedding reception. Liz and Chris chose to do their portrait time around the grounds of the beautiful Mint Museum of Art, which was the perfect backdrop. It was the ring bearer that ended up stealing the show at this point in the day, as he insisted on borrowing our cameras to grab a couple of shots…see below….it was the cutest!
+ It was so fun to watch them a) cracking up laughing during toasts and b) tearing up the dance floor!
Congratulations, Liz and Chris – we are so happy for y’all!
