Chelsea and Alex’s wedding day was a magical one and we were so grateful to have been a part. I have SO loved getting to know these two through their engagement and was so happy that wedding day was finally here. Here are just a few of my favorite things about their day.
+ Alex’s best man and cousin, Robert, is
a wedding photographer in Florida. And from what Erika told me, as she was with the guys prior to leaving for the church, he had a few ideas for what they could be doing for their hang out time. One of the ideas was for Alex to come down the stairs to do a first look with his groomsmen.
Hilarious.
+ I was with Chelsea and her girls while they got ready for the day. And let me tell you…I think they win the award for best reaction when seeing the bride in her dress for the first time. It was such a special moment seeing them love on their friend in that way. Chelsea was beaming and it made my heart happy to see that she felt so pretty.
+ While Chelsea was hoping for a slightly chilly wedding day and planned accordingly for her and her bridesmaids to wear fur wraps, the weather in the Charlotte area had other plans. Spring came early! Who knew that everything would be blooming and we would have high 70’s in late February! That’s Charlotte for you. 🙂
+ Chelsea owns a
floral and event business here in Charlotte, so of course, I expected nothing less than amazing in all of her decor. Her and Alex have impeccable taste – all of their details were so intentional and well executed. Apparently they spent 14 hours a couple days before the wedding setting up the reception. It was well worth the effort, as it was incredible. And y’all, Chelsea’s bouquet by
Jimmy Blooms was out of this world gorgeous!
+ Alex had Chelsea’s bridesmaids give her a new note and gift every hour, on the hour leading up to seeing him at their first look. Her favorite candle, a “Mrs. Cioara” coffee mug, a gorgeous necklace. He is the most thoughtful, right?! Another fun thing that happened was that Chelsea and Alex gave each other the same card without knowing it! Love it.
+ Sometimes there are super small moments on a wedding day that really move me and that if I’m not paying attention, I might miss them and not even know it. The moment after Alex turned around to see Chelsea in her dress for the first time was my favorite from their day and nearly brought me to tears. As he caught her glance and looked at her gown, he was hit by the emotion of it all and brought his hand up to his chest. It was such a small thing, but it took my breath away. I love how much he loves her.
Congratulations, Chelsea and Alex! Love you guys!
