“Shine that sunshine down on us from heaven on that blessed day, Daddy.”
And sure enough, sweet Emily’s hopes for beautiful light on her wedding day came to pass. We were more than blessed to be a part of the day that she wed Phillip. Just a few of my favorite moments…
+ Emily had a piece of her late daddy’s blue shirt sewn in the shape of a heart on the inside of her dress. What a special way to honor him.
+ They buried the bourbon! I love this fun southern tradition – bury a bottle of bourbon before your wedding day to ensure great weather on the day of the festivities. 🙂
+ Emily’s sister delivered what was arguably the best matron of honor speech I’ve yet to hear…she sang her own lyrics to the theme song of The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. Simply amazing.
+ Phillip picked out a great spot for us to photograph portraits of the two of them post-ceremony. And, he was the greatest of sports fighting through the heat of the sun!
Congratulations, Emily and Phillip. Lots of love to you both. xoxo.
