Carly and Al – Bay 7 Wedding –

Carly and Al’s wedding. Hard to put into words, that’s for sure. But, I’ll try. 🙂

Carly and Al’s friends refer to them as the “power couple” – many times through the weekend I heard reference to the fact that they could “take over the world”. If they did, in fact, take over the world, it would certainly be a better place to live. (Actually, the odds of them taking over the world are in their favor, given the fact that Al works for Google and Carly works for Apple. Not to mention that they have a thriving photography business together based out of San Francisco. :)))) ). As Geoff and I drove home from that evening, we took a few minutes to reflect on the day, as well as them as people. They both have such servant’s hearts; always putting others ahead of themselves. They are just really good people. The kind of people you hope your children will grow up to be like.

And their friends and family? The best. First of all, the bridal party had such GREAT attitudes….especially as they no doubt sweated through bridal party picture time out in the sweltering heat. Not one person complained. Secondly, everyone was so darn caring…we were constantly being checked in on by everyone – asking if we were okay and if we needed anything. When we went to leave the reception, we seriously felt like we had 30 friends to say goodbye to.

Geoff and I are always praying that God would bring us the right people to photograph – “right” could be for many reasons. This wedding – Carly and Al – were unquestionably brought to us to bless us and to inspire us….inspire us to love those in our lives more and better.

Carly and Al both recorded video messages to each other to watch prior to seeing each other for their first look. What I didn’t know until I was culling through their images on my computer was that it just so happened that they watched the videos of each other at separate locations, but at the exact same time. 🙂

And THIS is the masterpiece that Carly’s mom made for her. Yes, her mom MADE her wedding dress for her. How very special.

This was another sweet moment of the day – immediately following their first look, but before their bridal party joined them, they bowed together in prayer. Very, very sweet.
