Kristen and Chance were married at the gorgeous Umstead Hotel and Spa in Cary, NC.  Geoff and I determined that we simply must return sometime for a night’s stay and a visit to the spa.  Truly, it is a remarkable place.  

As Kristen got ready in her suite that afternoon, there was a little worry over whether or not the planned outside courtyard ceremony was going to be hit with rain.  Her coordinator came in with radar to put everyone at ease that the rain would wait until the ceremony was over.  And, the rain did hold off……until it was portrait time, that is!  As we began family pictures, we could see the dark clouds approaching quickly.  We managed to finish family pics, bridal party pics and a couple of Kristen and Chance together before the sky opened up.  Lucky us, the hotel has a row of cabanas inside the pool area that worked nicely.  🙂
