I first met Whitney at the airport in London, England. It was junior year of college and I was headed to Edinburgh, Scotland to study abroad for six months. I had just flown from Newark, NJ to London on a group flight through my program. Apparently, Whitney (who was in the same program) had been sitting a couple of rows behind me, but somehow got off of the plane ahead of me.
As I exited the plane, I glanced up to see her…a girl I had never seen before…and she said aloud “I waited for you”. I looked behind me thinking she was talking to someone else. She wasn’t. Terribly homesick and desperate for a friend, Kentucky bred Whitney waited for me. And so, on the walk to our next flight out to Edinburgh, our friendship began.
And now, ten years later, Whitney is still a dear friend to me. I am so glad we have managed to keep in touch through the years and count it as a great privilege to have photographed her wedding this past December. She and Matt were married at
Agnes Scott College (Whitney’s alma mater) in Decatur, Georgia.
As always, your photography is splendid. Every image is worthy to be framed. And I LOVE the bridemaids’ necklaces.
I’m crying! As Cheyenne wrote above, I waited for her. And thank heavens I did — a) for her amazing friendship and b) because I now have the most gorgeous, precious wedding photos a girl could only dream of. Thank you, Cheyenne and Geoff!
So fantastic!
Mind blown. Again and again and again.
Gorgeous wedding! I love all the ring shots.
Simply Impressive!
Every single one of these shots is fantastic. GORGEOUS bride. Gorgeous wedding!
love the photos! whitney’s ring is gorgeous…is it antique?
I love your ring shots! Are those cards you bring or is it done later in Photoshop. They look great!
thanks so much, laura. 🙂 we certainly have fun shooting them. I’m not sure I understand your question, though….
Sorry, I know its confusing. Are the rings shot on those backdrops at the site? For example, put on the paper that says “Together We’ll go Far” or is the text added to the photo later. I was just curious where you got all the cute sayings and if they were little notecards! Thanks.
Gotcha. I use magazines, newspapers, etc. that I find on site to shoot these shots. 🙂
wow. you both are incredibly photographers. i found you somewhere? on the web. i am a photographer myself and it takes quite a bit for something to hold my attention. i’ve been on your site for the last 20 minutes. wonderful images.
WOW! These photos are absolutely incredible! I’m an ASC alum (I remember Whitney from school, actually) and I’m blown away by how perfectly you captured our beautiful campus. How lucky you and Whitney were to have made a friendship that resulted in all this beauty and happiness.
