Words fall short for this special couple and family.
I always pray that God would bring the “right” people to my business. I know and trust that the reasons for why they are “right” vary. For this family, He brought them my way just to bless me.
And goodness, did we go on a ride together! I first “met” them in spring of 2019 when we had our initial consult via google hangout (this was before Zoom was even a thing!) and was beside myself that they booked me for their June of 2020 wedding (you can see where this is going 🙂 ).
I had the absolute best time finally meeting them in person at the end of 2019 for their engagement session here in Charlotte. Our “see you in June!” goodbye didn’t quite pan out as we expected after everything hit the COVID fan a few months later.
Morgan and Cody decided to postpone the large wedding that they had planned, pushing it to late 2020 and then proceeded with getting married on their original wedding date. I was so grateful to be able to be there with them in a near-empty church (I don’t think there was more than 15 of us there…total!) as Morgan and her mama walked down the aisle with a song playing to honor Morgan’s late father. Just SUCH a special, emotion-filled day.
From there, we made it to wedding day #2 in November at Duke Mansion! It goes without saying, but the mansion is one of my very favorite Charlotte venues. I was in hog heaven…naturally. Just a few noteworthy things about their wedding day:
+ Morgan’s mom, Leigh, gifted Morgan a locket with the sweetest picture of Morgan and her dad when she was a little girl. If that wasn’t enough, a ladybug flew onto it while I was photographing her details. Her daddy’s presence was very much felt that day to say the least.
+ The first time that Cody got to see Morgan down in the garden for their first look was one of my favorite moments of the day. So much joy and so much love.
+Â My pal, Katrina, was the designer and planner, so naturally, everything went off without a hitch and was BEAUTIFUL. You don’t want to miss out on scrolling down to see what came to life because of her.
Morgan and Cody – I love you guys and couldn’t be happier for your sweet little Ella that she gets you two as her parents. Wishing y’all a lifetime of blessing and favor together.
Shout out to the amazing vendor team, which was TOPS! I get to work alongside the greatest people!
