We are thrilled to finally introduce you to our fall intern, Heather! And trust us when we say it’s been a long time coming! We interviewed Heather last spring??? but of course, the pandemic had other plans. We are so glad she could join us before the busy fall season begins and she has already been an asset lending a helping hand. Heather answered a few questions below for a little introduction to virtually meet you. Follow along with her pursuit of interior photography on instagram and her website – she’s photographed some amazing spaces that will certainly make you run to your pinterest boards and start dreaming up fresh ideas for your own home. She’s got tips for your home, the cutest fashion, and a sweet little girl (with a baby brother on the way!).

Where are you from? Catharpin, VA, which is in Northern Virginia

What are you most looking forward to this year? Spending the holidays with my family. It will be our last holiday season with Hazel as our only child. She’s at such a fun age (3.5) and is going to LOVE all things Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas…I can’t wait!

What are you grateful for? Besides my family, of course, I am truly grateful for this opportunity to step out on my own and start a new career. I am very excited for what is to come for my business.

Hobbies? I do a lot of walking, a lot of learning in business and self-growth podcasts/youtube videos {is that a hobby?}. I also love hiking whenever we get the chance!

If you had a full day to yourself, what would you do? Oh man! These are few and far between, but…head to a local coffee shop, maybe enjoy a fun dance workout or yoga class, get my nails done, do some shopping, grab some wine and charcuterie with a girlfriend and then watch something that the hubs would never enjoy watching with me…like a good Rom-Com!

Three things you are loving right now? Cooler mornings, Summer Fridays Vitamin C serum and these delicious chocolate wafer treats I picked up at TJ’s last week 😉

Best book you have ever read? Most recently I loved reading “Don’t Keep Your Day Job” by Cathy Heller. I also love her podcast, I am definitely more of a podcast listener than a book reader!

What was your favorite moment from your wedding? The reception was the best part for me, having all of our family and friends there with the pressure of the planning and ceremony behind me, It was such a fun night to be in one pretty place with all of our most loved and favorite people!

Vanilla or chocolate? If it’s ice cream – Vanilla, if we are talking actual chocolate I am Dark Chocolate all the way.

Morning person or night owl? Morning person as of lately, I like to get up before everyone else and enjoy a little quiet time.

Favorite season? Fallllll

Favorite city to visit? New York City is an awesome place to visit, I could never live there but love visiting any chance I get!

Favorite show on Netflix?

Some binge worthy Netflix series imo: Ozark, Peaky Blinders, Stranger Things, Mind Hunter, The Haunting of Hill House (can’t wait for the new season next month!), Schitts Creek, The Politician, Atypical

Favorite treat? Brownies or Ice Cream

Favorite food? Mexican or Sushi

Favorite drink? I am a sparkling water gal or if we are talking alcohol I love a good glass of pinot noir or a salty margarita.

Coffee or tea? Coffee, coffee, coffee

Favorite restaurant? Kindred…have you had their milk bread?!

Favorite place to get coffee? Love finding a good local coffee spot, my favs in Charlotte: The Hobbyist, Not Just Coffee, Summit Coffee

If you were given $100 and you had to give it away to someone, who would you give it to? A local charity that caters to children/young adults such as Pat’s Place or Hurdles in Heels.

If you were given $100 and you had to spend it on yourself, how would you spend it? Some sort of skincare item most likely. 😉
