Introducing….the newest member of the CSP Team…our new Associate Wedding Photographer, KATIE!

If y’all have been here awhile, Katie might be a familiar face to you. Not only is she a past intern, but she has been training with us as a 2nd shooter for the past year. While Katie will primarily be photographing weddings for CSP, she also has a passion for photographing families and may pick up some portrait sessions here and there as well. Stay tuned, as she will soon be available for bookings!

Our whole team loves this girl to pieces and we couldn’t be happier to have her officially with us. Just a few words that describe Katie – she is hardworking, humble, kind, fun and loves people deeply! Not to mention, she has an incredible talent and passion for photography. I know she is going to serve her future clients so well.

Where are you from?

I was born in Richmond, Virginia and lived in Georgia for a little while. However, I’ve been in Charlotte for almost 14 years, so I consider it home. 

Three things you are loving right now?

2. My favorite fuzzy blanket
3. Léon’s new music!   

You have a full day to yourself. What do you do?

Wake up and get ready. Get some friends and go to a coffee shop or grab breakfast. I’d follow that up by stopping by some of my favorite stores to browse their new arrivals or the clearance…there’s no in between! Spend some time with my family and then use the rest of the evening to relax and catch up on my favorite shows.

Current Netflix binge.

Most definitely New Girl! One of the funniest shows, hands down. 

What are your favorite Charlotte restaurants?

Vapianos. It’s Italian and there are just so many options and has a cool little atmosphere. And while I know it’s not technically a restaurant, the runner up is definitely ice cream from Jeni’s. 

What are you passionate about?

I’m very passionate about are investing in my community, learning and photography. I love being able to impact others in my community and do what I can to give back. I also feel like we can always gain from learning new things and that allows you to continue to grow in whatever you’re doing. As well as photography, but that’s a given – ha! 

What is your favorite part of a wedding to photograph?

Family is SO important to me, so I think my favorite part of a wedding to photograph would have to be the sweet moment post ceremony when the bride and groom are just meeting up with their families after it’s official. Such a sweet intimate moment and so fun to capture. Reception time is always so much fun as well! 

What is your favorite treat?

It only comes around Christmas time…Chick-fil-a’s peppermint milkshake. It’s from heaven itself! But anything that has chocolate is more than acceptable too.

What is one big personal goal you have set for yourself in 2020?

To say yes to any opportunities I’m given. Fear of failure or the “what if” can tend to hold people back from doing things, so this year I’m just going for it! 

These are a few of my favorite things…

Slow Saturday mornings, music, a night out with friends, bowling and mint chocolate chip ice cream!  

I am grateful for….

A close family. The best of friends. A church that feels like home. Iced coffee. Blasting music with the windows down on a sunny day.
