It’s that time of year again! Cheyenne Schultz Photography is currently looking for an intern to join our team this Fall and are now accepting applications!

We are located in Charlotte, North Carolina and serve the Southeast primarily photographing weddings and portraits. 

Our team is passionate about both the business and the art of our company and desire to build it with intention and purpose. We are highly committed to providing an exceptional experience for all of our clients. Our core purpose is to create art that matters and to genuinely care for others.

DETAILS
+ Position runs approximately September 17, 2019 – December 17, 2019
+ Location: our home based studio is located in South Charlotte
+ Schedule: 4-8 hours per week (Tuesday or Tuesday/Thursdays)
+ This position pays $8/hour. We are also happy to work with you if you are enrolled in college and are needing credit. 
+ This is a non-shooting position

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Running errands
+ Filing, placing print orders, keeping supplies stocked
+ Keeping the studio tidy 
+ Ordering, packaging and shipping client gifts/product deliverables
+ Managing business Facebook and Pinterest accounts
+ Prepping/cleaning camera equipment prior to shoots/weddings
+ Creating slideshows and blog posts
+ Other administrative tasks as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone that has a great work ethic and is capable of managing time well to handle multiple projects at once. This person should be highly organized and have an extremely high attention to detail, as well as possess a creative mind. We are looking for someone that will have a great attitude and a cheerful heart; especially when doing menial tasks such as running an errand or tidying the studio at the end of the day. This person should enjoy working hard and smart and be hungry to learn and grow. This position would be great for an aspiring photographer/business owner or someone that is relatively new to the industry (0-3 years of experience).

+ Must love dogs (most days we have two running around the studio) and babies (most days we just have one infant lying around 🙂 )
+ Must be familiar with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, etc.)
+ A working knowledge of Photoshop and WordPress would be a bonus, but not required
+ Must have an interest in photography, the wedding industry and business ownership
+ A background or experience with graphic and/or web design is a plus, but not required

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO LEARN
This internship will offer significant learning opportunities for what it takes to operate a successful wedding and portrait photography business and regular one on one coaching. The program is customized based on the needs/desires/goals of the intern. Some possible topics covered are:

+ The fundamentals of providing an exceptional client experience 
+ Marketing strategy
+ Using social media effectively for business
+ Networking with vendors
+ Client management
+ Bookkeeping and other business operations
+ The flow of a wedding day and working with vendors
+ Work/Life balance
+ Editing
+ Tools and programs to improve workflow
+ Shooting technique, using light effectively, posing 
+ Website and portfolio review
