Bri and Ian. Gracious, generous, thoughtful, heartfelt. Truly, what a special couple and a moving, emotional day. The ceremony took place near Asheville at The Ridge and goodness, was it beyond beautiful. The view of the mountains is basically a photographer’s dream to have as a backdrop (at least this photographer!). A few of my favorite moments from the wedding day:

+ When Bri’s mom went to read the card Bri had written for her and Bri’s dad, she didn’t have her glasses and couldn’t see well. Bri took it from her and read it aloud to her parents. It was such a special, heartfelt moment. It was the second time I cried behind the camera in a matter of 10 minutes…the first being when Bri opened her gift from Ian. I can be a mess…ha! 🙂

+ Wedding day was a little warm in temperature, so their guests were grateful for a little cloud cover leading up to the ceremony. Just before Bri headed down the aisle and the song “Here Comes the Sun” began to play…wouldn’t you know it….that sun came out again as she appeared. It was just a neat moment.

+ During wedding party pictures after the ceremony, I overheard Ian say, “this is so fun!”. That comment is just proof of why he is so loveable…he is just a joyful, grateful person…in fact, both him and Bri are that individually and together as a couple. I have to say, I don’t hear comments like that very often and it more than made my day. I know that many of our couples are just anxious to get to the party to unwind and enjoy the rest of the evening, but I wish everyone would look at picture time as Ian did…a fun time to hang out with your people!
