Welcome Baby Dani
Monday, July 22, 2013…the birthday of sweet baby girl Dani Adele Lanning. Photographing her entrance into this world was SUCH an honor and a privilege for me.
Dani’s parents – Candice and Daniel of The Beautiful Mess – are dear friends of ours. Nearly three years ago, I had the opportunity to document the birth of their first daughter Stevie (pictures can be found HERE) and they were there to capture the first moments following my c-section of our son Boone (pictures can be found HERE). Earlier this year, Candice beautifully photographed the birth of our daughter Crew (pictures can be found HERE). Being able to share these moments of our growing families with the Lannings has been so very special. We are blessed to know them and do life with them.
Dani’s birth was nothing short of amazing….born on the evening of a full moon AND on her due date! Candice did so wonderfully and no surprise – Daniel was incredibly supportive and attentive. Witnessing the final moments of the delivery was just precious. The cry of joy from Candice as the doctor put baby Dani on her chest…and seeing Dan’s eyes as he looked on at his wife and second baby….ah! Just precious and such a reminder of God’s existence and blessing.
Congratulations, Lanning Family! We love you.

Ahhhh guys, I am finally getting around to watching this and it is amazing (thank you Shultzes!) I just rejoice in this journey with you two and was tickled from the moment you said you were willing to have a second baby as I know that was a journey in and of itself. Your trust in the Lords hand to take you through another pregnancy and then the fulfillment of that promise with this perfect bundle of wonderfulness. ahhh…love it! Your family is so beautiful. I realized I never left you some love on here. These are totally awesome. We still watch the video quite often (Stevie LOVES it and enjoys pointing out all the people in the video) and have already printed all the photos. It really is a priceless gift you’ve given us and we’re grateful to have your family in our lives. Thank you again for capturing this birth (and Stevie’s) so beautifully.
