Lisa and Eric – Crestwood Inn wedding
Lisa and Eric were married at the end of August in Boone, NC at The Inn at Crestwood. And really, the day was perfect – this was such a special event to be a part of. Everyone – from the bride and groom to the bridal party to the wedding guests were remarkably kind and inviting to Geoff and I. Everything just felt so comfortable; everything felt so full of love.
The whole day really special, but a couple very favorite moments of the day for me were actually during Lisa’s getting ready time.
– When Lisa received Eric’s wedding gift – a gorgeous ring – she was so overcome with emotion. Seeing her reaction from behind the camera filled up my heart – you could just sense how much they mean to one another.
– The ring bearer. He reminded me SO much of what Boone might look like in 3 years from now. Blond curly hair and the sweetest smile. He couldn’t have been cuter in his outfit – you’ll see what I mean when you scroll down. After Lisa had finished getting dressed, he came out onto the deck with a bouquet of flowers to hand to her…and I cried. Call it pregnancy hormones if you will, but I couldn’t help myself – he was just the sweetest little thing!
– Lisa’s best friend and bridesmaid made her veil…and it was beautiful. But even more beautiful than the veil itself was watching her friend place it in Lisa’s hair…both of them eyes wet with tears.
I know I’ve said this before, but we are just so blessed by this work that we are able to do as wedding photographers. Being a witness to so much love and joy…getting to be with people on one of their best days of their whole entire life – weekend in and weekend out – is really a special gift. And I am so grateful.

The next three shots are some of my favorites from the day. It was at the tail end of the reception – one of the last dances of the evening. Lisa and Eric were in their own little world – it was just precious.
