I’ve been meaning to blog this since MONDAY, but have been consumed by digging my way out of my out of control inbox.  10 days out of the office was a great and much needed break, but did no favors to my email life.  If you are waiting on a response from me…sit tight…I’ll get back with you shortly!  🙂

Geoff and I will celebrate 5 years of marriage this June.  We knew we wanted to get away for a trip, so last year we blocked off the second week in May.  Of course, in true Cheyenne and Geoff fashion, we were too caught up in everything else in life and waited until the last minute to book our travel – just two weeks before we were to leave.  We initially wanted to go somewhere different than our honeymoon, which was Cancun, Mexico…but when things got down to the wire…we decided we didn’t care where we went – we just wanted to get away to some kind of tropical paradise.  So, we went with Mexico.  

This time, we stayed in the Riviera Maya at the Aventura Spa Palace.  Very nice.  The fee for the resort included a pretty great spa credit….you KNOW I got like 4 massages.  And, I forced Geoff against his will to get a manicure and pedicure.  He was indifferent to the mani, but loved his pedi.  🙂  

I didn’t realize how hard it would be to leave and be without my little sheep for so long.  The longest I had left him up until this point was three days.  I thought I was the type who would LOVE a week of sleeping in with no responsibilities to tend to.  Seven days without him was TOUGH.  🙁  We were so glad to be able to skype with him everyday.

Also, many thanks to my mom who played the role of single parent for I’m sure what was seven LONG days.  It was nice to know he was in good hands while we were away.

I’m hoping to make up for my lack of blogging here lately – lots of stuff to share.  🙂
