Katie and Kevin were married on a VERY hot and VERY humid day in May. Lucky us, we were able to dodge the rain that day….later we had heard that up near Huntersville had been PUMMELED.

A favorite moment from the day – Katie having to turn away from the camera due to the tears when reading a note from Kevin. 🙂
Katie and Kevin chose to do a “first look” prior to the wedding ceremony, which allowed us to do all of their pictures prior to the ceremony. Another favorite moment from the day. 🙂
Literally MINUTES before their outside ceremony, thunder roared nearby. Luckily, the rain missed us completely.
Immediately following the ceremony, guests were greeted with cold cokes….which was perfect for the sweltering weather.
A framed photo of Katie’s grandparents taken in front of The Palmer Building was displayed at the reception. Here’s a snippet of the story that accompanied the picture:
“The Palmer Fire School was the site of many square dances and barbecues during and after World War II. A young sailor, back from the war, Wilford “Woo” Capps attended a square dance on a Friday night in 1945 at this very building. Also in attendance at the dance w
as an old friend and schoolmate, Elizabeth Hoover. During the course of the evening, “Woo” asked Lib for her hand in marriage and she accepted.”
WOW!
Of course, we had to recreate the picture.
Congratulations Katie and Kevin!
