Sweet Potato Baby Schultz

The Schultzes

As of today, I am 18 weeks pregnant.  Per my “What to Expect” app on my iPhone, the little piglet is as big as a sweet potato.  Last week, it was as big as a turnip.  I’m not sure I’ve ever eaten a sweet potato or a turnip, so I’m not exactly sure how big/small we’re talking.  They really should have comparisons to donuts or chocolate bars….now you’re speaking my language.  🙂
This past Sunday afternoon, we met up with Julie and Jason (they were up from Atlanta) so they could pick out their wedding album cover.  It was truly great to see them and meet their dog (who looks JUST like Ellen….I think they are brother and sister).  Before they left, they gave us the CUTEST baby tees (I think they are called onezies???) that Julie HAND-PAINTED.  Freaking cutest things I’ve ever seen.
Next week is our ultrasound….THE ultrasound that we’ll (hopefully) find out if we’ll be having a  Cheyenne or a Geoff.  What do you think?  Any guesses?

So, so cute. You crack me up with your comment .. “I think they are onesies?” Ha Ha !! Also, I always thought it was funny that they compare the size of the baby to fruits and vegetables. Like we eat those things, especially during pregnancy. Compare it to candy or cookies – like you said. 🙂

  2. Mary Sheedy says:

We called our little man “turnip” for weeks and weeks! Niall guesses boy, I guess girl! Whichever will be adorable!

  3. Anna says:

You guys are too cute!!!! Love the onezies. But um, hello? Never had a sweet potato?! Girl you are mising out!!! I’d suggest a trip to Big Daddy’s for the sweet potato FRIES! 🙂

  4. Jackie says:

Too cute! BUT – stand sideways in the next pic so we can see that tummy! 🙂 I think a sweet potato would be about the size of a roll of mini donuts, I know you know how big those are! 😉

  5. Amy Martin says:

I think right now, they say I’m carrying 4 navel oranges… or a head of cabbage… something like that. LOVE those onesies, too cute! My guess is boy!

  6. Dana says:

Congratulation to you both! God Bless you.

I’m gonna take a guess that THE ultrasound is gonna say your little sweet potato is a Cheyenne…. 😀

  13. How adorable! And now lil Chey or lil Geoff is all ready to join the photog team!! Congratulations!!

I love these t shirts!!!! I was just looking at a line of them in a mall in Michigan. Dad and I are thinking the first will be a boy. We just talked about it yesterday while strolling through Babys R US. Do you have those in the Charlotte area? I decided I will only purchase US made products to curb my spending levels.

    1) I think girl 😀 and 2) Your birthday post was adorable. You two are SO cute! I wish I could take you out to dinner and chit-chat. Love love 😀

I am so happy that you love the onesies! I was definitely channeling girl in the process! But either way it will be a beautiful baby!

Are you KIDDING ME?? You’re pregnant?! Oh my goodness, CONGRATS! Wow wow wow. So happy for you!! You two are going to be incredible parents. Really. And I’m gonna guess a boy. A mini-Geoff. No reason why, though. Oh and those onezies are to-die-for adorable.
