You’ve Been Loved by The Schultzes
Y’all….we had such big plans for today. We’ve been planning out the details of this day for quite a long time. Late last night we had to make the unfortunate call to shut down those plans entirely given the weather and road conditions.
You see….Charlotte, North Carolina typically gets one…maybe two…snowfalls per year. And by snowfall, I mean two inches of snow at best. Wouldn’t you know it…..our city is currently being dumped on – for the second day in a row. And then, last night we had freezing rain, which took the roads from bad to worse. Cupid day as we knew it….was cancelled. π
Our plans included paying a visit to some of our favorite people/past clients/wedding vendors/fellow photographers around Charlotte to deliver some “i was loved by the schultzes” cotton candy…of course, accompanied by a ridiculous scene by Cupid (I’ll paint you the picture – it involved a bullhorn and confetti. It was sure to be ridiculous and hysterical as far as we were concerned).
Oh well. What are you going to do? All you can do is suit up in your white tights, grab your bow and arrow, and jump around in the snow in the front street outside of your house….with all of your neighbors peering at you from inside like you’ve completely lost your mind (not kidding).
Maybe next year, we’ll take Charlotte. For today, we are staying put and eating cinnamon rolls in our pajamas. π

I’m sorry your plans had to be cancelled…but maybe it was a happy accident? I mean those photos of geoff in the snow are priceless. just wish i could witness the neighbors strange looks!

Well, what can I expect from my son…the creative soul he is and with a supportive wife like Cheyenne…their spirits are kind and genuine in supporting the best in others, to make their art come alive in capturing emotions we all want to remember. I remember the last time Cupid showed up and loved, loved every photo but this…cupid in the snow…and bearing the real spirit of these two to smile with the world through what some might view as a disappointment, they bring light…a joyous light, a shared time for laughing out loud! Love them bunches and welcomed the laughing out loud session at home with my husband and parents ( Geoff’s grandparents, GG to the children)
