Yesterday I posted on Instagram that I was participating in The Imperfect Boss campaign and then proceeded to share just a few of my many imperfections and insecurities related to being a creative business woman. Let’s just add another one to the list:

“Sometimes I don’t write and blog my monthly goals until the middle of the month.” 

Ha! It’s true. Here we are…already September 14th! I’ll try to keep a glass half full perspective…we still have half of the month left to live intentionally in our lives and businesses!

Things to look forward to in September (and fun things that are already done!):

+ Apple picking! By far my favorite September activity. We usually go to Sky Top Orchard and love it. A couple years ago I wrote a post with tips for visiting that can be found here if you are interested.

+ Have new headshots taken by Allison Kuhn and makeup done by Lindsey Regan Thorne. Done and LOVE them!

+ Our new intern’s start date! She is here and she is wonderful. Can’t wait to introduce you to her next week.

+ The premiere of This Is Us. YESSSSS.

+ Team Night.

And my goals for the month:

Personal – September

+ Begin using my Write the Word journal from Cultivate What Matters. I ordered the “grateful” journal, but they will soon be renaming it the “contentment” journal. It’s perfect for me and just what I need.

+ Garage clean out. FINALLY. We literally haven’t been able to walk across our garage since we moved in more than a year ago…it’s a mess.

+ Do a fall purge/clean out of my upstairs closets.

+ Update our family goals and finalize fall plans.

Business – September

+ Plan for a fun fall giveaway – stay tuned!

+ Finish set up for and begin using our new studio management system – Dubsado! (This is mostly Erika’s goal :)).

+ Get my inbox to zero. Guys. THIS HAPPENED TODAY!

+ CSP Quarter 4 Planning Meeting

+ Organize my business paperwork. This has only been about 6 years coming.

+ Move forward in our decision for our new CPA.

+ Write one new business related blog post.
